Driver Identification
All drivers including any additional drivers must show their original driving licence and a counterpart licence, plus two further forms of identification including one that confirms the drivers current address, one of the forms of ID must have photograph, a copy of this will be held on file.
 

 

Qualification

Any licenced driver who either passed their driving test before 1997 or hold a C1
 
Age and Licence Restrictions
 
Drivers must be over the age of 21 or under 69.  You must of held a full UK licence and been a UK resident for a minimum for 12 months.
Hire will not be given to anyone with more than 8 penalty points, with any code begining with, UT CD DD and DR, had more than 3 accidents in the last 3 years, made anymore than 2 theft claims in the last 3 years.  Drivers of the HGV must have had experience, proof and references maybe required if any doubts arise.
 
Insurance

All wagons are supplied with comprehensive insurance but subject to a £500 excess.

Please note goods in transit are not covered by the insurance supplied.  Exclusions to collision damage waiver are any overhead height damage to any of our vehicles, tyre damage or punctures, glass damage costs, or driving without due care and attention, negligence and dangerous driving in any of our vehicles.  All costs incurred by us will be passed onto the customer.

 

Additional Drivers

The charges for any additional drivers is £15.00 + vat per day

 

Stolen vehicles

In the event of any rental vehicle being stolen the insurance applicable will be charged.

In addition to the excess charge our company will charge for loss of rental use until the stolen vehicle is located and returned to us in its original state.  However, if keys are left in the ignition and a vehicle is stolen you will be held fully responsible for this incident.  All insurance taken out will be void and, in the event of the vehicle not being recovered, you will be charged the total loss value of the vehicle.

 

Vehicle Fuelling

Please be advised that it is the customers responsibility to ensure that the fuel that has been used is replaced.  So, if the vehicle is received with an empty, half full, or full tank you will be requested to replace the vehicle fuel level to the same as when it was received.  Failure to do so will incur charges at £2.00 + VAT per litre.

 

Accidents and damage to vehicles

It is the hirer’s responsibility to notify our office immediately of any accidents or damage to the vehicle that is on hire and all third party details must be provided as soon as possible. 

 

Breakdown Call Outs

In the event of a vehicle breaking down you will be provided with a number to call.  However, if you call a breakdown crew out, with no due reason, and no fault is found during the inspection you may be charged for the service.

 

Parking and speeding fines

All parking, speeding and congestion charges are the hirers responsibility.

 

Loss of vehicle keys

In the event of the vehicles keys being mislaid, lost or stolen, the our company will charge for the courier charges to deliver the spare keys plus the total cost to replace the missing keys and reprogramming of the central locking fob if required.

 
Late/Early returns

During busy periods, hire times are 8am to 8am or 5pm to 5pm, there are no exceptions to vehicles returned late a full days rated will be charged.  We do not issue any refunds should you return the vehicle before the pre arranged time & date.
